St. Louis, Missouri metropolitan area (Illinois Listings) Senior Information and Referral Services:

The Illinois senior information and referral service organizations which follow below provide a wide-range of services specific to the needs of older adults. These senior information and referral service organizations have large information databanks from which to draw upon. They are frequently used to assist both laypersons and professionals alike in providing problem solving direction and access to available resources and senior information for individuals on the Illinois side of the river in metropolitan St. Louis, Missouri.

Description: The center offers assistance to seniors with circuit breaker applications and assistance with any other type of applications. We accept walk-ins. We also provide home visits and call clients so they have someone to talk to. And we help them remember to take their medications. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Other services that are available within the center include: social activities, leisure activities, health screening, exercise classes are occasionally offered, tours, trips to go shopping, food pantry, and information and referral.

Description: Call For Help links people in need with local agencies, churches and organizations that can help. An extensive, up-to-date file of agencies and programs that
provide assistance with housing, medical services, financial aid, transportation, food and other critical services is maintained. Advocates accompany victims of sexual assault/
abuse to hospitals and police stations. Counseling is also available to victims and their significant others. All advocate services are free.
